Biography

Gena Williams is a retired telecommunications executive with over 25 years of experience serving Fortune 100 companies. Throughout her career, she held senior leadership roles overseeing technical operations, field operations, and customer experience initiatives across multiple markets. Most recently, Gena served as Senior Director of Field Operations for Comcast’s Midwest Region, where she led installation, service, construction, design, and materials management activities in the Greater Kansas City Market, driving customer satisfaction and market profitability.

Prior to Comcast, Gena held progressive leadership positions with T-Mobile and Sprint, where she focused on innovation and investment in the customer experience. Earlier in her career, she worked for Black & Veatch as a Project Estimator and Planner in the Power Division.

Deeply committed to community service, Gena served as Vice President of the Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Award Foundation (2010-2023) and Vice Chair of the Kansas City Symphony Board (2018-2024). She currently serves on the Advisory Council of the Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Award Foundation.  She holds a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology from Florida A&M University. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
