Campus Spaces, Amenities & Dining Options

The Lawrence Campus is pretty big! At over 412 acres with 147 buildings, it's easy to not know where everything is located or what types of spaces are available to students across campus. Below we outline some spaces for reflection, studying, and eating.

KU Operations maintains a Smart Campus map where you can find a number of spaces, features, accessibility locations and more. Use the link to visit the map, open the menu button at the top right of the map and click on various features to see locations on the map.

Study Spaces

There are a number of libraries on campus that offer quiet study spaces. A full listing of study spaces in each library can be accessed at the links below. Some study spaces and rooms can be reserved.
There is also a Graduate Study Lounge on the 4th floor of Watson Library that provides a limited amount of free printing to graduate students.

Dining On Campus

There are a number of dining options on and close to campus.

On campus, there are three food courts:

•The Market is located in the Kansas Memorial Union at the north end of campus

•The Underground is located on the bottom floor of Wescoe Hall in central campus

•The Courtside Cafe is located in the DeBruce Center next to Allen Fieldhouse on the south-end of the main campus

Convenience store-style eateries and other coffee shops are located throughout campus. Additional eating options on campus include cafes in GSP and Cora Downs Residence Halls, The Bus Stop in Self Residence Hall and Chik-fil-a in the Kansas Union.

Dining Off Campus

Lawrence has a LOT of dining options including fast food, local cafes & coffeeshops, diners, breweries, upscale and casual dining, in many different styles and cuisines. Explore all the options at the Unmistakably Lawrence website.
