The mission of the Office of Graduate Studies is to foster a healthy and inclusive graduate learning community by enacting administrative practices, advancing policy initiatives, and providing professional development opportunities that empower students, faculty, and staff to achieve the highest standards of graduate education. Through collaborative efforts in policy development, efficient administration, and growth-focused training, we aim to support and elevate all members of the graduate community.

The vision of the Office of Graduate Studies is to be a leading force in shaping a dynamic, equitable, and innovative graduate education environment. We strive to create a community where academic excellence, inclusive policies, professional growth, and effective administration converge to support the holistic success of all KU graduate students. By continuously evolving in response to the needs of our diverse community, we aim to set a national standard for excellence in graduate education and research that supports building healthy communities and making discoveries that change the world.
