Biography —
Harrison M. Rosenthal is a managing associate in Dentons’ Kansas City office, where he focuses on media and constitutional litigation, complex commercial disputes, and appellate advocacy. He represents companies and individuals in state and federal courts in matters involving defamation, speech and press issues, and high-stakes litigation with First Amendment implications. Before joining Dentons, he served as a staff attorney at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, where he litigated free-speech cases nationwide.
A four-time University of Kansas alumnus, Rosenthal earned a J.D. from the KU School of Law and completed graduate study in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. His doctoral work examines the philosophical and historical foundations of speech and content moderation from classical antiquity through the digital era. He has taught undergraduate courses in communications law and media ethics and has written on law, media, and public policy.
