Research Matters

Graduate students at the University of Kansas are vital to the university’s mission of shaping future leaders, strengthening communities, and driving impactful discoveries. Research Matters is a collaboration between Kansas Public Radio and the KU Office of Graduate Studies that showcases how graduate research supports the economic, human, social, and environmental well-being of Kansas and the nation.

RESEARCH MATTERS

Research Matters airs on Kansas Public Radio in the Spring and Fall semesters and showcases interviews with KU graduate students about their research, its impact on the state, and the motivations driving the students' research pursuits. Spring 2025 Research Matters episodes can be accessed at KPR and in the sidebar at the right of this page.

KU Graduate students who are interested in having their work featured on Research Matters can submit podcast proposals at the link below.  Proposals should use non-technical language to clearly communicate the research project's impact on the state, region, and nation.
